Khalid Abu Bakar is new deputy IGP
Former Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar is the new deputy inspector general of police.
This follows the retirement of Husin Ismail from the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP).
Khalid's present post is the head of the RMP's Internal Security and Public Order director.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by inspector general of police Ismail Omar.
Khalid (left) will hold the post of deputy IGP as well as the director of Internal Security and Public Order Department director until a replacement is appointed for the latter.
